For Upfitters
Keep builds moving.
When a job is waiting on one part, the whole bay slows down. Upfitter Supply Co. helps shops find hard-to-source emergency vehicle equipment, move surplus inventory, and reduce the time wasted chasing parts through calls, emails, and backorders.
Tell us what you need. Tell us what you have sitting on the shelf. We work the supply side so your team can stay focused on installs.
Why it works
The part you need may already be sitting in another shop.
Every upfitter has the same problem. You have parts you may not need again, and you are probably missing something another shop already has. Lightbars, sirens, control heads, brackets, mounts, speakers, push bumpers, partitions, take-offs, discontinued equipment, and open-box inventory all get stuck in the wrong place.
Upfitter Supply Co. exists to close that gap. We help connect real parts with real demand, so shops spend less time searching and more time finishing vehicles.
The more upfitters in the network, the stronger the supply base becomes. More shelves mean more chances to find the right part, move unused inventory, and keep builds from sitting idle.
What it does for you
A practical supply tool for working shops.
This is not another catalog full of items that may or may not be available. It is a sourcing and surplus network built around the way upfitters actually work.
Find what you are missing
Send us the part number, description, vehicle platform, brand, photos, or any details you have. We search through distributor channels, supplier contacts, OEM sources, and surplus inventory from other shops.
The goal is simple: confirm whether the part can be found, what it costs, and how fast it can move.
Move what you are sitting on
Turn unused inventory into cash instead of letting it collect dust. We help move take-offs, decommissioned equipment, overstock, discontinued parts, open-box items, and parts ordered for jobs that changed.
You provide the details, condition, photos, and your target price. We help get the part in front of buyers who are already looking.
No listing fee. No sourcing fee.
There is no cost to submit a request. There is no cost to list surplus. We only move forward when the part, price, and availability are confirmed.
The honest question
Are you helping your competition?
No. You are not sharing customers, pricing strategy, bid lists, or install methods. You are moving inventory.
A bracket sitting on your shelf does not help your shop. A lightbar you no longer need does not finish your next build. A discontinued control head in your storage room may be exactly what another shop needs to release a vehicle.
The same is true in reverse. The part holding up your job may already be sitting unused somewhere else.
This network works because it gives upfitters access to more supply without giving up their business. Your customers stay yours. Your jobs stay yours. Your shop stays independent.
We are just helping the parts move.
Get your shop on the network.
Join free. Submit what you need. List what you want to move. Use the network when a job is stuck, a part is scarce, or surplus inventory needs to turn back into cash.
Upfitting is hard enough. Finding the right part should be easier.
FAQ
Questions upfitters usually ask.
Do I have to list inventory to join?
No. You can join the network even if you are only looking for parts right now. Some shops use us to source hard-to-find items. Others use us to move surplus. Many do both.
What does it cost to join?
Joining is free. Submitting a sourcing request is free. Listing surplus is free. There are no listing fees or sourcing fees.
What kind of parts can I submit?
You can submit lightbars, sirens, speakers, control heads, consoles, brackets, push bumpers, partitions, prisoner transport equipment, camera equipment, take-offs, open-box items, discontinued parts, and other emergency vehicle equipment.
Does it have to be new?
No. We can help move new, used, open-box, take-off, overstock, and decommissioned equipment. The key is that the condition must be clear. Good photos and honest descriptions help the part sell faster.
What if I do not know the exact part number?
Send what you have. A part number is best, but photos, brand, vehicle platform, model year, equipment description, and fitment details can still help us identify it.
How do you find parts?
We check supplier channels, distributor contacts, OEM sources, surplus lists, and inventory from other shops in the network. The goal is not to guess. The goal is to confirm whether the part is real, available, and able to move.
What if I need a part fast?
Submit the request with as much detail as possible: part number, brand, quantity, vehicle platform, deadline, and any acceptable alternatives. The more specific the request, the faster we can work it.
Can you help with alternatives?
Yes. If the exact part is not available, we can look for comparable options when fitment, function, and buyer approval allow it. We will not treat an alternative as acceptable unless it makes sense for the build.
Who sets the price on my surplus?
You do. You can give us your asking price, lowest acceptable number, or target range. We will help position it to buyers, but you stay in control of what you are willing to take.
When do I pay?
You only move forward once the part, price, condition, and availability are confirmed. No one wants another backorder surprise.
Who handles shipping?
It depends on the part and the deal. In most cases, we help coordinate the shipment so both sides know what is moving, where it is going, and who is responsible for cost.
What if a part does not sell?
Nothing happens. There is no listing fee. If the part does not match current demand, it can stay available for future requests or be removed.
What if I sell the part myself?
That is fine. Your inventory is still yours. If you sell a listed part outside the network, just let us know so we can remove it from availability. We do not want buyers chasing parts that are already gone.
The only rule is simple: if we bring you a confirmed buyer, that transaction should run through Upfitter Supply Co. We are doing the sourcing, matching, and coordination work, so the network only works if confirmed matches are handled cleanly.
Do you show my inventory to competitors?
We help move parts, not customers. Your customer list, bid strategy, pricing model, and install process stay yours. We only use the inventory details needed to match a part with a real buyer.
Am I helping another shop beat me?
No. A part sitting on your shelf is not protecting your business. It is tied-up cash. Selling unused equipment helps you recover money, clear space, and keep the trade moving without giving away your accounts.
Do you work with small shops?
Yes. This is built for working upfitters, including smaller shops that do not always have deep inventory, national purchasing leverage, or time to chase parts all day.
What if I can do this myself?
You can. Most upfitters already do. You can call vendors, text other shops, check old contacts, search online, compare part numbers, wait on callbacks, and chase availability. The issue is not whether you are capable. The issue is whether that is the best use of your time.
Upfitter Supply Co. gives you another supply desk without adding another employee. We help work the search, organize surplus, confirm availability, and connect parts with buyers so your team can stay focused on builds, customers, and delivery dates.
What if I am a hobbyist and not an upfitter?
You can still submit a request. Upfitter Supply Co. is built mainly for working upfitters, fleet vendors, public safety agencies, and shops that install emergency vehicle equipment. But we may also help hobbyists, collectors, restorers, and private buyers find certain parts when the request is legitimate and the equipment can be sold lawfully.
The main difference is fitment and use. We can help identify and source parts, but we do not guarantee that a part is legal for your vehicle, your state, or your intended use. Emergency lighting, sirens, control equipment, and public safety markings may be restricted. It is your responsibility to make sure the equipment is used legally and not in a way that imitates law enforcement, fire, EMS, or other official vehicles.
If you are restoring a vehicle, replacing equipment, buying for off-road or display use, or looking for non-restricted parts, send the request with as much detail as possible. We will review it and let you know whether it is something we can help with.
Why should my shop join now?
Because the network gets stronger as more shops join. The sooner your shop is on it, the sooner you can use it to find missing parts, move surplus, and keep builds from getting stuck.
